Federal Evaluators is an informal association of evaluation officials in the legislative and executive branches of the U.S. government. The group was organized in 1999 to share information and concerns about evaluation methodology, policy, and practice at the federal level. In 2017, we have about 1,600 members from all 15 cabinet departments and several independent agencies. The group meets a few times a year to discuss issues of topical interest and has a “closed” listserv, FEDEVAL, for discussion of program and policy evaluation and related issues.

This website was established to provide access to information about federal evaluation activities as well as access to technical and other resources useful for conducting evaluations. Affiliations pages provide links to evaluation offices’ webpages, as well as webpages for related professional associations and networking groups in Washington, DC, and around the world.
